Happy Fourth!

Our country is now 247 years old, which sounds like a really long time. However, if we compare that time to a person who lives to be one-hundred years old (which happens), then we can see our country roughly started just two and a half lives ago. That brevity is one reason our nation still grapples with discord.

The United States is a wonderful country to live in and I’m happy most people strive to preserve national freedom and protect individual rights. This Fourth of July, I encourage all Americans to focus on valuing the freedom and rights of all people living in this great country, even those who seem different from us. After all, if not all people in our country are afforded the same protections, then the country isn’t really free.

Stay safe and Happy Fourth of July.
